Sharing good practice in FE English and maths

First organised in 2017, the mE+ Conference is the only conference in the UK which is specifically organised by and for Further Education practitioners. Facilitating innovation in GCSE and Functional Skills English and maths through a mix of workshops, CPD materials and practitioner collaboration.  This year after a very successful online conference in 2021, we are delighted to announce we will be back at the Riverside Stadium with face to face delivery, however we are also excited to be able to offer delegates the option to attend the sessions remotely. As with our changing world today this may be subject to change depending on Covid ruling at the time but rest assured we will keep you updated.  With guest and keynote speakers from across the country, workshops will again focus on developing practice in GCSE and Functional Skills English and maths through sharing innovative teaching techniques and strategies.

Past workshop hosts have included international author and classroom management expert Jim Roberson; maths specialist, consultant and creator of the 5Rs Julia Smith; author and English expert Jennifer Webb and assessment expert Claire Gadsby.

Previous keynote speeches have been given by Education Training Collective Chief Executive and Group Principal Phil Cook, Hartlepool College of Further Education Principal Darren Hankey and Catherine Sezen (AoC).

We strive to ensure that everyone attending the conference leaves with a range of strategies they can instantly implement to improve their teaching. We also make sure that every delegate leaves with an all important goodie bag – previous years have seen coffee mugs, a thermos, an mE+ branded stress ball, a range of stationery and even bottles of wine!

The conference exists to support English and maths in Post-16 and Further Education – if you have any queries or questions, please contact us.
